Our Philosophy
The objective of the SoulsticeNetwork.com is to bring our members the broadest spectrum of Black culture worldwide by representing the multitude of Black groups, associations, organizations, businesses, events, people etc. through the SoulsticeNetwork.com ‘s online communities, posted events, and highlighted people, places, themes and concepts.
We anticipate that some groups and associations will choose to set up a link from their site pages to the SoulsticeNetwork.com community that represents their organization. Other will choose to move their entire membership management to this site. That is one of our fundamental purposes.
This is not your typical social-networking website. We hold ourselves and our members to a tighter standard. We expect our members to conduct themselves in a constructive and positive manner. We would hope that our members will be respectful of each others opinions, even when they disagree.
Here at SoulsticeNetwork.com, we also strive to elevate the level of conversation from nuanced pop-culture topics to issues that deeply effect the worldwide Black community specifically and all of us in general. This isn’t another pop-culture site, although mainstream hip-hop and R&B definitely have relevant subject matter worthy of in-depth discussion and interaction. There are many sites that thrive on the latest trends in pop-culture. The SoulsticeNetwork.com isn’t one of them.
The goal of this site is to acknowledge and celebrate the differences within Black culture in particular and other under-represented cultures in general, to define ourselves and where we stand in the world context, and to become active contributors to not only solving issues within the worldwide Black community, but using our unique perspective in solving the rest of the worlds problems.
This site is definately not meant to be exclusionary by any means. All are welcomed and encouraged to contribute.
In closing, this is a site for the mature. There are many sites for teens and young adults on the internet, this isn’t one of them. The mature adults finally have a place on the net. This site has been a long time coming. It is what we have been waiting for.
Welcome Home!!
